Patty was a college player at University of Maryland and a club player in Washington DC through 1990.  For the past 20+ years, she has been a lacrosse referee at the collegiate, high school & club level.  In recent years, she has been a Division l college referee with the opportunity to officiate the Atlantic Coast, Big East & Colonial Athletic Conference Tournaments, as well as Division l & lll NCAA Final Four tournaments.  As a presenter at the US National Lacrosse Convention & member of the US Lacrosse Training Committee, she has enjoyed the opportunity to influence officials as they work to improve their level of officiating, knowledge & expertise.  She was selected as a Baltimore Chapter 2015 US Lacrosse Hall of Fame member.

Kristen graduated from Loyola University Maryland in 2019, where she was a 4-year starter and captain her junior and senior years. She was the first player in Patriot League history to earn four all-conference awards and three all-academic team honors. Kristen was additionally a second team IWLCA All-Mid Atlantic Region honoree in 2019. As a junior, Kristen was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and an ILWomen All-America selection. During her time at Loyola, Kristen helped the Greyhounds remain undefeated in regular-season Patriot League play, and contributed to two Patriot League Championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances. Kristen was a two-time Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year and the first female Greyhound to receive the conference’s top academic honor, the Patriot League Female Scholar-Athlete Of The Year, in her senior season.

Kristen played for the 2015 Check-Hers Elite team, and she has continued to be involved with the program throughout the years.
