Makenzie is a Carroll county native. She attended FSK where she was a 4 year starter on the variety team. She went on to continue her lacrosse career at Division 3 Alvernia university where she was a 4 year starter as a low defender. She received multiple leadership awards including a female student athlete award, represented her university at the NCAA leadership conference, and was her university’s student athlete advisory committee president. She now is back at FSK as the head girls varsity lacrosse coach.
