Kristin has had an immense impact on girls lacrosse through coaching and player development over the past 14 years. Currently, she acts as the Assistant Girls’ Coordinator for the Westminster Area Lacrosse program which involves talent evaluation, development, and board member responsibilities focused on building the girls program in Carroll County. In addition, she coaches two Westminster Area Lacrosse teams –  developmental (K-1st Grade) and MYLA (4th-5th Grade).

Her coaching experience began while in college where she spent her summers as an assistant for Central Maryland Club in Westminster. Following college graduation, she became the Varsity head coach at Liberty High School, her alma mater, and from 2008-2011 she led them to a 27-0-10 record which included a county title and appearances in state regionals.  Along with coaching locally, Kristin continued her club coaching experience leading the 2011 and 2016 M&D Lacrosse Club teams.  Aside from her lacrosse experience, she has been teaching in Carroll County Public Schools for 14 years. 

Kristin attended and played lacrosse at Shippensburg University, graduating in 2008 with an elementary education degree. During her time at Shippensburg, she earned multiple lacrosse accolades including 2nd team all PSAC, voted team’s Most Valuable Player, and currently holds the record for most goals in a season (2007).


 

Assistant Coach Chris Borcik

Coach Chris has eleven years of experience coaching youth lacrosse. He started playing lacrosse in second grade, before pockets programs started!.  At Franklin High School, he was a three-year starting midfielder on the Varsity team.  His lacrosse honors include: 2 Time All-Division, 2 Time All-County, and Baltimore Sun All-Baltimore City/County team.

Over his career, he scored over 30 goals with 10 assists his Freshman year in JV, and over 60 goals and 30 assists during his three-year Varsity tenure. Coach Chris was also the team’s faceoff specialist, beginning in the Varsity State playoffs his Freshman year.

Chris led Franklin’s JV team to the JV County Champions in 1998, and the Varsity team to the State Regional Finals in 2000 and 2001.  Chris was a varsity team captain is Junior and Senior years.

Chris was recruited to play lacrosse and soccer in college.  Ultimately, he chose to play soccer.  After college he began coaching girls and boys youth lacrosse.  He has led teams to league and tournament championships. Chris enjoys teaching players the game, as well as building their character and teaching life lessons. He is also an executive board member of the Westminster Area Recreation Council (WARC).
